A Guide to Banded
Blending
Banded MUST use a gradient/fully blended edge for the color on the back.
Slightly soft edges are not permitted for this space.
Striping
Banded's stripes shouldn't cross over each other excessively or create criss-cross patterns.
The stripes should be vertical (up and down) in flow!
Stripe edges
Banding stripes should have one edge type. This means you cannot mix and match hard or soft edges!
Styles of Banded
Classic Stripes
You can make a classic tiger like stripe pattern with Banded (Left)Large Bands
Banded may create large, single bands, across the whole colored area (center)Brindling
You can make a brindle effect with banded (right)Banding on Feathers and Fins
When dominant, banded may cover Prairie and Aerial feathers. The Banding stripes should follow the flow of the feathers (from tip to base).
Similarly to prairie and aerial feathers, banded can affect aquatic fins in dominant form - the back fin being the exception. The stripes on fins follow the same direction as on feathers: from tip to base.
