Mosaic

nMc/McMc
Similar to stained glass, Mosaic creates a marking with brightly colored "cells" that are bordered by a dark color that can cover 30% of the body. Each cell has to be separated from each other via the border.

Mosaic can use any color, and an unlimited amount of them. There must be a minimum of 4 cells of color (at least 2 colors).

The dominant form (McMc) can cover up to 50% of the kukuri and be broken into different parts!

A Guide to Mosaic

Mosaic Basics

Mosaic can form shaped patterns such as flowers or swirls, or it can be shapeless and without reason. The possibilities are nearly endless. As long as the shapes making up the Mosaic (the cells) are simple in shape. Squares, triangles, circles, hexagons, etc. This includes a lacey-like look even without Laced being present in the geno!

The Mosaic's border does NOT need to be black, but it does need to be darker than the basecoat and the Mosaic's cells.

Mosaic can cover limbs or branch across the body so long as it does not cross over its range limits. This means it can loosely connect with its border and create unique patterns along the body.

In the event that Gradient is present with the Mosaic, it may affect either the border, or the cells, but not both. When affecting the cells it can create a smooth transition through colors or provide more colors in each individual cell!

Mosaic can appear on horns/esca, as a mosaic shape!

Mosaic is NOT affected by Haze.

Mosaic restrictions

While Mosaic can form many shapes, it can not make the shape of animals, real or otherwise. The same applies to overly complex images, logos, emojis or other similar objects/images.

Disconnected or overly swirly shapes are also not permitted. In the same vein, if the Mosaic is lacking a border it will be sent to corrections (Dominant Mosaic is the exception to this). Soft, gradient, or mottled edges are also not permitted. Mosaic should only be hard edged or textured!

Mosaic needs at least 4 individual cells with 2 colors between them. You can not have a monotone mosaic!

Border rules

Mosaic cells need to be entirely enclosed by its border. If it's only partially inclosed, the two cells would instead be only one, and should be the same color in that case!
Mosaic's border cannot create its own shapes without closing within or outside of the mosaic cells, things such as spirals or waves would not be allowed!

The marking Border doesn't affect Mosaic, and will appear around another marking or as a stripe on the back if they are the only two markings in the geno!

Mosaic Ranges

Mosaic can appear anywhere on the body, but it can only take up so much of a percentage of the kukuri.
