For Aquatics this mutation allowed them to forgo lifting their head above the water for air, which enabled Life to keep Her subjects hidden for so long. It can not appear randomly but can be inherited, being one of the most recognizable parts of blood of Life's chosen ones being present.

Gills can be colored with normal marking color rules, OR with the kukuri's mouth color.

You can mod the gills to be anywhere on the side of the neck and the largest gill by default is the largest you can make any gills when modifying them!
