Overgrowth

Sometimes the kukuri is born with genetic fault that makes their horns grow too much or deviating from the normal. These horns are viewed often weirdly and since their pattern is often random, they're not best suited for fighting.

As a result their mates may shun them and refuse to breed with them, and they can't create nests bigger than two, no matter the potions used. However, Safe nest potion can guarantee overgrowth kukuri to have two eggs without a chance of shunning from mate.
Bonded mates will not shun each other even if an overgrowth kukuri is present in the bond!

Hornless mutation overrides Overgrowth mutation in breeding.
If the kukuri receives both Overgrowth and Double horn mutation, only Overgrowth takes effect in breeding and latter is only cosmetic.

Overgrowth mutation is inbred mutation, so it can't occur without inbreeding and can't be inherited in breeding.

Editing Horns on the Import

Overgrowth mutation is a cosmetic mutation, and allows the owner of the pup to edit import accordingly even before design approval state. The only requirements for the mutation to be showing are

★ Must follow normal horn coloring rules
★ Can resemble other horn types, as long as the placement is the same as the original horn type
★ Must not be symmetrical (requires +2 horns)
★ If there is only one horn, it must be crooked, twisted or otherwise imperfect
Horns must be edited, minimally so it's clearly visible. Maximum size is roughly 3 times the size of the original horns. This rule may be adjusted or changed as we learn more about the mutation. The surface of the horns can be covered in bumps, spikes or can be smooth, as long as the shape of the horns is not perfect.

Overgrowth mutation can't be acquired through modding the kukuri! It can be edited after the design approval, but requires modification scroll to be done.
