Basic Trust Training

If you have this training completed, your Kukuri can breed. You can switch in-between using handler/guide or a guardian.
You need to provide 3 prompts to finish this training.
One of the prompts must be done by you.

REQUIREMENTS FOR TRAINING:

1. A handler/guide is one of non-Kukuri species taking care of a Kukuri.

2. Guardian is any Kukuri which includes starters. A guardian can not be trained in the said training entry it's portrayed in. When using a Kukuri owned by someone else, it's often good manners to ask the person are they okay with their Kukuri being used!

3. Link all the Kukuris visible in the training in the description.

REQUIREMENTS FOR IMAGES

1. At least 75% of the Kukuri must be visible and in the scene

2. A parent/handler must be at least 50% visible. The prompt will specify which one is required. If it does not specify, either one can be used.

3. The image must be fairly clean, colored, shaded, and have a shaded background. Backgrounds should have at least 3 hand drawn elements not including the ground or sky (ex: rocks, vines, animals, etc)

REQUIREMENTS FOR LITERATURE

1. The story must be at least 1200 words

2. Every additional kukuri requires an additional +500 words, meaning two kukuri would require 1700 words, and three kukuri 2200 words.

Handlers and Guides prompts
Guardian prompts
Both or Neither

Handler/Guide Only

These prompts require a handler or a guide to complete!
Some prompts require a certain type of guide/handler! Be sure to read the requirements!

H-I - Can I Trust You

° One of the following must be included in this prompt: Handler, Guide
° Draw a picture or write of a moment when the trust starts building. To some it's very special moment, to some it's just about giving food.
Rarely friendships start right away great. Sometimes it stays at 0 for quite a time before it actually starts building up.

H-II - So Get Off My Back

° One of the following must be included in this prompt: Handler, Guide
° Draw or write your Kukuri trying their tack for the first time, or being ridden for the first time.
° If your handler is a shapeshifter, the shape with thumbs must be present for this tier.
Being saddled to something isn't always the nicest of feelings, and certainly being ridden often doesn't help.

H-III - The Show Must Go On

° One of the following must be included in this prompt: Handler, Guide
° Draw or write about your handler training their Kukuri to be a show Kukuri. Anything from running through agility tracks, or showing in front of a crowd or judge!
Training a Kukuri to be a show stopper and crowd favorite is a long process. Not all have the temperament to handle it and stand the gaze of a crowd.

H-IV - Baby Training

° One of the following must be included in this prompt: Handler, Guide
° Draw or write your handler attempting to teach a kukuri the basics of parental care. Are they a natural, or do they keep dropping the replacement for an actual kiddo? For example it can be a flour sack, or a beloved plushie -but it cannot be an actual living being.
Nothing like preparing a young parent for raising a baby then giving them a crying sack of flour or doll to take care of. Or maybe an egg, just be careful not to crack it!

H-V - You Can't Bring That in Here!

° One of the following must be included in this prompt: Handler, Guide
° Draw or write about your handler/guide attempting to, or being stopped from, bringing their Kukuri inside.
Not everyone takes to bringing in a giant dinosaur into the home or apartment. That doesn’t stop your handler, or kukuri from sneaking back into the warm and safety of indoors. Do they make it inside through stealth, get caught, or even win over the landlord?

H-VI - From the Wilderness

° One of the following must be included in this prompt: Handler, Guide
° Draw or write how this wild-born kukuri was acquired by your handler, either they were rescued, caught, or maybe they just took interest in the human habitats? Handler must be present.
Not all Kukuris start their life as a tame, and sometimes all it takes is a special meeting. Even if the said special meeting was in middle of a night in a trashcan.

H-VII - Special Needs

° One of the following must be included in this prompt: Handler, Guide
° Draw or write your Kukuri being taught some commands that help their handler, like how to notice their handler is in distress, to open doors, or anything similar! Did they catch the idea fast, or were they thinking you want them to eat the doorknob?
Some Kukuris are trained to aid people with special needs, like being a seeing-eye Kukuri, for therapy, emotional support, or general service Kukuri.

H-VIII - High Class

° One of the following must be included in this prompt: Handler, Guide
° Draw or write about your Kuku accompanying its handler on an elegant night out. Does your kukuri show some class and fit in, or do they go eat off the buffet table and drink all the punch?
Many handlers are invited or expected to show up to fancy parties. Kukuri’s are welcome, IF they are well behaved.

H-IX - Your Wild Heart

° One of the following must be included in this prompt: Handler, Guide
° Draw or write about a time your Kukuri had to battle against their instincts. Did they prevail against their base nature, or did they give into their hunting drive and misplace a few chickens in the coop? Or perhaps they marked up the house by sharpening their claws on everything?
Long before they were tamed, Kukuri roamed wild and free under open skies. And while some now enjoy lives with handlers, even those who were bred in captivity may still possess wild instincts. And oftentimes, these instincts will flare up- especially at the worst time.

H-X - Recall Training

° One of the following must be included in this prompt: Handler, Guide
° Draw or write your kukuri learning recall with their handler. Do they catch on right away? Or maybe don’t recognize their call? Maybe their handler plays hide and seek, hiding and calling to them?
Kukuri need a name and a way to be called to their handlers. Ensuring that a kukuri will come when called or signaled over is important for their safety, but it can take time for them to recognize when they're being called.

H-XI - Breaking the Mold

° One of the following must be included in this prompt: Handler, Guide
° Draw or write about how your kukuri broke free from their handler to get back into the wild. Do they hold grudges against their handler or was it a mutual decision from both to go separate ways? Was it a wild escape sequence or did the handler even accompany them to the edge of the woods where the new life was supposed to start?
Some wild Kukuri have lived a long part of their life with handlers, be it in blissful harmony from the birth, out of necessity or through forced taming, or combination of the two. But no life is set in stone and you're now back in the wild and needing to fend for yourself.

H-XII - Learning to Co-exist

° One of the following must be included in this prompt: Handler, Guide
° Draw or write your wild kukuri seeking the aid of of humans. Were they injured or caught in a trap? Was there fire in the forest? Maybe food was sparse and this was the last resort?
Living in the wild gives you a lot of freedom, but sometimes you have to make friends with your enemies to keep living it, hoping they don't turn around and try to keep you leashed forever because of it. Or maybe you choose to stay?

G-I - Babysitter

° One of the following must be included in this prompt: Other Kukuri (Puppy)
° Draw or write about your kukuri looking after a nest themselves. Perhaps the parent is confident enough to leave them alone, or maybe they’re waiting to jump in and help any moment.
° Parent/starter is not required but the kukuri puppy must be fully visible.
The best way to learn to take care of your own screaming muppets one day is to take care of the other's young puppies for a few hours.

G-II - Learn From Mistakes

° One of the following must be included in this prompt: Guardian
° Draw or write your Kukuri being scolded by their parent. You can also portray the situation in where they ended up in trouble and their parent is saving/protecting them, was it a predator, poacher, storm or anything alike.

G-V - Protect Your Home

° One of the following must be included in this prompt: Guardian
° Draw or write your kukuri defending their current territory from outside threat. Maybe a puppy protecting it from a raccoon trying to steal their food, or as an adult from competing kukuris?
° The intruder can be another ARPG-species, but let's keep it civil and not go too violent in those cases.
When you finally find a place you can call home, it's likely that there are others who also like the place you like, and you better prepare for that.

G-VI - King or the Peasant?

° One of the following must be included in this prompt: Another Kukuri
° Draw or write how your kukuri asserted itself growing up - were they the pompous type to always kick others down, or were they always the one backing down and submissive?
There’s always a pecking order, and it determines who gets first dibs and who gets the leftovers. Is your kukuri on top lording over their loaf, or getting pushed around just a bit too much even by the new pups?

G-VII - Everyone has a role

° One of the following must be included in this prompt: Another kukuri
° Draw your Kuku finding its own role in its loaf- does it fit perfectly to you, or maybe the first approach wasn’t the best one?
Each kuku in a loaf has its own role. There are those who lead, who hunt, gather, protect, or explore surroundings.

Handler/guide OR Guardian

These prompts require either a handler/guide OR a guardian to complete!
Some of these prompts don't need either to complete. Be sure to read the requirements!

O-I - Again With Feeling

° One of the following must be included in this prompt: Handler, Guide, Guardian
° Draw or write your kukuri discovering a talent they can build their life around with their handler, from herding to planting beans. Hey I didn’t say it had to be groundbreaking, someone has to be a bean planter.

° One of the following must be included in this prompt: Handler, Guide, Guardian
° Draw or write about wild kukuri trying to be caught, does the kukuri turn on the tamer or simply sneak away while their back is turned?

O-III - Lest it Breaks

° One of the following must be included in this prompt: Handler, Guide, Guardian
° Draw or write about the kukuri being taught to be gentler with the more delicate things in life.
Kukuri don’t always know when rough housing with their kin - parents, mates or siblings - goes too far and sometimes it’s a learning process for both.

O-IV - High Maintenance

° One of the following must be included in this prompt: Handler, Guide, Guardian
° Draw or write about your Kukuri getting groomed (be it bathing, brushing, or cutting hair, anything that has to do with getting clean and pretty again!)
For some, grooming is something one doesn’t think about. For others it’s a constant struggle to keep a luxurious mane soft and sleek. Some can’t stand getting wet, which makes bath time an absolute nightmare.

O-V - Innocence Gone

° One of the following must be included in this prompt: Handler, Guide, Guardian
° Draw or write about a time where your Kukuri had to learn to live with loss. (Whether it was the death of someone close or the loss of a childhood toy, just so long as they learn to live without it!)
Sometimes unexpected things happen in life. One day, you’re going along, enjoying life, and then something’s taken from you and it’s gone forever. Learning to cope with loss and come out the other side is fundamental to mental wellness.

O-VI - I Ain't Afraid of No Ghost

° One of the following must be included in this prompt: Handler, Guide, Guardian
° Draw or write about a time that your Kukuri was scared - what or who were they scared of and how did they deal with their fear. What did they learn from the experience, or did they learn nothing at all?
Fear is a force that drives almost all creatures in times of great stress. Learning to stand and face your fears is important, but it’s also important to learn when to back down and acknowledge that you’re afraid for a reason.

O-VII - Play Nice with Others

° One of the following must be included in this prompt: Handler, Guide, Guardian
° Draw or write about one of the first times your Kukuri encountered strangers, and how they responded. Were they a natural charmer? Did things begin tense but smooth out with time? Or was it a total disaster?
You can’t usually get too far in life without some kind of social skills. Whether you’re interacting with your loaf, your handler, or a potential mate, it pays off to know how to behave with others.

O-VIII - Peacemaker

° One of the following must be included in this prompt: Handler, Guide, Guardian
° Draw or write about your Kukuri (whether collected or not so calm) attempting to cool down a conflict between two others. Were they successful in their efforts, or did they just end up throwing punches with the others anyway?
Wherever you go, conflicts are bound to break out at least on occasion. In these situations, a calm, collected mind is needed to calm the conflicted parties down.

O-IX - New family

° One of the following must be included in this prompt: Handler, Guide, Guardian
° Draw or write about how your kuku found a new family. Was it a happy welcome, or was it forced by events?
Life is full of unexpected events, and some may force you to leave your family to join a new one.

O-X - Didn't go as wanted

° One of the following must be included in this prompt: Handler, Guide, Guardian
° Draw or write about the discovery of an unexpected behaviour; was an aggressive pup really sweet with a sibling, or a calm one being suddenly too cruel?

O-XI - You’re my hero

° One of the following must be included in this prompt: Handler, Guide, Guardian
° Draw about your kuku following in the footsteps of its hero. Was it trying to mimic the hero’s adventures, or it was following it in its everyday life, hidden somewhere?
Everyone had a hero when they were young- Kukuri’s are no exception to the tradition!

O-XII - What it Takes to Survive

° One of the following must be included in this prompt: N/A
° Draw or write about your kukuri getting caught in the act of stealing food in city or rural area(no forests). Do they sneak off and outwit the owners by the skin of their teeth, or do they get caught and punished? This prompt can feature a kukuri at any stage in their life. (stupid young pups to experienced adults who got unlucky)
Foraging is hard enough, but in the cities in such closed up areas, gathering food can be a nightmare. Not all kukuris can escape the scene of their crime or the traps set out by others to catch repeat offenders.

O-XIII - A Forced Path

° One of the following must be included in this prompt: Handler, Guide, Guardian
° Draw or write about an event that changes a kukuri’s life for better or for worse.
Sometimes a path is forced upon a kukuri. A sibling gets sick and they have to go and take care of them, disrupting their own family life. A parent dies and a kukuri is now looked upon to lead the loaf safely while they just want to climb trees all day. Whatever comes along, it’s jarring and completely turns the kukuri’s world upside down and uproots their old life.

O-XIV - Limitless

° One of the following must be included in this prompt: Handler, Guide, Guardian
° Draw or write your Kukuri experiencing kickback from either their own actions or due to features they were born with.
Everyone has different limits and strengths. Sometimes finding them can be a harsh kick in the teeth. Did an Orthrus maybe realize that snapping at one another was a bad idea? Did a particularly fluffy kukuri overheat in a hunt? Maybe a sphynx got frost bite for the first time. How did they get around this weakness?

O-XV - Tradition

° One of the following must be included in this prompt: Handler, Guide, Guardian
° Draw or write about your Kukuri participating in the cultural traditions of their loaf or handler. Do they hold a festival for the first berry harvest of the season? Must they journey to the top of a peak for their coming of age ceremony? Perhaps each youth takes a trophy from their first kill and wears it for their entire life? Or maybe the have been exiled from the loaf and are painted red to symbolize the blood of their kin, before being thrown into the desert with only their wits and a sharp knife.
All civilized society is built upon rules. Adherence to cultural traditions is expected by those part of the group and the rituals themselves often hold deep meaning. They form an important part of life events such as coming of age, celebrations, or grief, and may also be present in daily habits or adornments.

O-XVI - Finding Territory

° One of the following must be included in this prompt: Handler, Guide, Guardian
° Draw or write building/finding their first territory. Was it a pup defending their special pillow with ferocious force, or did your Kukuri wander far and wide to find their own area? Did they have to fight for it?
There comes a time when you have to gain independence and move out, or you were chased out and now need a home to call your own. Or maybe you just really wanted to be the highest hierarchy for once.

O-XVII - I'm not a pup anymore!

° One of the following must be included in this prompt: Handler, Guide, Guardian
° Draw or write your kuku doing a difficult chore independently for the first time. Are they struggling, or were their parents just overprotective?
Young kukus often fall into a rebellious stage, where they are still in need of support, yet they start to refuse it. To do a thing by yourself can be a good lesson in independence, but sometimes the youthful overconfidence can be tricky - and things can go south...

O-XVIII - Acts of Kindness

° One of the following must be included in this prompt: Handler, Guide, Guardian
° Draw or write your Kukuri helping with something which most wouldn't want to, but they do anyway. Did you help someone carry a heavy boulder, bring food to the ill at the risk of getting ill yourself, or save pups from burning building? Go harvest food in pouring rain?
When living with others it's important to pull your own weight! Sometimes however it's equally important to lend a helping hand to those in need.

O-XVIV - Facing an Illness

° One of the following must be included in this prompt: Handler, Guide, Guardian
° Draw or write your handler/Guardian caring for the sick or injured Kukuri.
Life isn't always about dancing on flowers. Injuries and illnesses are impossible to avoid.
